A Worried Parent Built This

Kiddo Network started with a simple question: "Why is it so hard to keep my child safe online?"

Kiddo Network Story

The Origin Story

I'm a software developer and a parent of two in Nairobi. When my 8-year-old got her first tablet, I spent an entire weekend trying to set up parental controls. I'm technical—and I still struggled.

I tried every parental control app. They were expensive (KES 1,500-3,000/month), complicated, and designed for American families. None understood that my daughter uses her aunt's phone for YouTube, or that her school WhatsApp group is where the real issues happen.

"If I can't figure this out as a tech professional, what about the millions of Kenyan parents who aren't technical?"

I realized the problem wasn't just tools—it was guidance. Parents don't need another app. They need someone to tell them exactly what to do, step by step, in language they understand.

That's why I built Kiddo Network.

The Problem We Solve

Existing Solutions Are...

Too expensive (KES 1,500-3,000/month)

Too complicated (dozens of settings)

Not designed for Kenya (US-centric)

Focused on spying, not coaching

Require technical knowledge

Kiddo Network Is...

Affordable (free assessment, expert sessions from KSH 1,500)

Simple (we tell you exactly what to do)

Built for Kenya (local context, Swahili coming)

Coaching-based (guidance, not surveillance)

Works for any parent (no tech skills needed)

Our Mission

Make every Kenyan child safe online.
